This short guide introduces and explains how to use the new Manage Upload feature available in Insight Miner, starting with why we introduced it.

Why Manage Uploads?

Up until the introduction of Manage Uploads it was very easy to drag and drop documents, videos and audio files into Insight Miner and then realise they were the wrong files.

It was not possible to stop the upload and start again.

This is where Manage Uploads helps you: It allows you to cancel one or more uploads of files / URLs.

Using Manage Uploads

When you start processing files in Insight Miner, there are two distinct phases:

1. Uploading the file
2. Processing the file

You can abort either of these two phases by clicking “Manage Upload” or “Manage processing” respectively, as shown below:

Select All files or Just One

In this example, four files are currently being processed. It is possible to stop just one, or all of them.

In either case, you will be asked for a confirmation to abort all, or just the one you selected.
